Summer of '09

Season of IPL is over. But not this season - "Summer"..The most difficult time of the year this is - March to May..Sometimes I wonder If I can skip these 3 months..but I simply can't do that. For me, The only attraction of summers is my Birthday...!! Otherwise, no one likes summer -except juice parlour owners : they like this season so much - like doctors love monsoon!!! Money making time.

Year by year, highest temperature keeps on breaking the records of all previous ones. I only talk about amdavad now, as most of the times I observe here only. Often Newspapers say in their forecast "Today's maximum temperature will be 1 degree Celsius less, compare to yesterday's max temperature - 44.6 C..!!" What the hell..! Can we feel that difference when we are roaming out on streets in the afternoon?? For us, Its all the same..burning Heat raining from the sky . But just psychologically we get an impression that "Haash, aaje kaik ochi hase!".

We observed some very hot days this summer. Nothing new in this summer of '09. I cant actually say like that as most of the time I am sitting in my Air conditioned office and have not felt the real heat too often. We pray to God "He Bhagvan, have garmi ochi karo to saru..bahu thayu", and the Air conditioner vendors pray " He Bhagvan, Hji thodi vadhare garmi pde to saru, amara stock ma hji 10 AC vechavana Baki che!!!" Bolo..amdavadio nu shu karvu! But, whatever it is..now it is closing time. Month of may is about to end. Temperature is falling down and humidity level has increased in last 3-4 days. Good sign it is (May be due to some fault in West Bengal & Cyclone in Bangladesh). More 2-3 weeks to pass..may be a phase between summer ends and monsoon starts. No issues God..! Let it rain..:) Start finding your umbrellas and raincoats in ur shelves and cupboards.. hopefully we ll require them soon! Amen.
