Maggi Management - 2
Lets start point to point..

Maggi: The Easiest thing to cook..!
Well, its just a question of having two minutes of time. If you find any person around you, especially during your college life, who says he doesn’t know how to make Maggi, then he would be an a**..!!
Time management: Flexibility of Time
It is said that it’s just a question of having 2 minutes of time to prepare it. But in reality, you can stretch the project duration according to available manpower (skilled & unskilled), kitchen conditions, resources & time available, & most important – Patience of users at point consumption!! Preparing Maggi is unique project. No thumb rules work here. You can make Maggi for 10 people in 5 minutes as well as for 2 people in 30 minutes. Everything is possible. You can add complexity to the project by increasing the ingredients. Micro Planning & Procurement of the same ingredients in timely fashion (before shops get closed..!!) so that the project shall be completed in stipulated time frame, is a subject in itself ! Above average skills are desired to plan & decide the Time frame of the project foreseeing the need & abovementioned conditions. Hardik & Chintak are experts in the same and had executed more than 500 projects successfully.
Customization: Variety of Combinations
As stated earlier, ingredients add the complexity to the project. Ingredients may vary from place to place and location to location, depending upon personal test. The most commonly used ingredients are vegetables like onion, capsicum, chilly, carrot, tomatoes, corn seeds and a few others. Some brave attempts were made by adding special stuff like, cheese, sauce/ ketchup, paneer, elaichi and even vanilla ice cream. About liquid stuff to be added with water, Appy Fizz (Rushang’s favorite), Tropicana, Thumps up (Ysh n mine favorite), Fanta and some other “soft” drinks were tested successfully upto 10-25% replacement to the water. Chintak had prepared one with 5 table spoons of “Haywards 5000” as well, which is not so common these days.
Human Resource Management: Manpower deployment
If you are preparing Maggi, the most important task is Human resource management: to select the best hands for each task, among variety of operations required to be performed for successfully completion of the project. If you are the one who is cooking, you can actually employ more than 4 to 5 helpers for doing various tasks. (Hardik & Chintak have established themselves as best chefs in Prahladnagar area & Northern part of east Naranpura respectively). One person is required exclusively to put together tools & tackles in the kitchen (best suitable – the one whose house is selected for preparing Maggi – Example: Yashesh, Amit, Chintak). One person for waste management & cleanliness of the kitchen (best suitable – any faltu one, who wants to involve in project, but about him, the chief chef thinks the other way round - Example – Sonny, Contra). One person is required as helper to the chief chef, assisting him in various operations. (Best suitable – a bit enthusiastic and some work ex in the field – Example – Kush). And the last one is required for quality as well as quantity management!!! It’s damn very important for all the individuals to perform their roles & responsibilities in very short duration of the Maggi making process.
Wholesome approach: “Togetherness is Success”
It is an unbelievably rocking experience of eating the same Maggie prepared by us for us..!! Sitting on the floor of the bedroom, 2 big plates put on newspapers for cleanliness, dividing in 2 groups; 4-5 people per plate, shortage of Forks, attacking on the plates for early completion to get Bonus (!!), small talk while eating, cursing or praising the “chef”, preparing strategies for (copying in) exams on the following day, whatever it was… It was all about “us”…sort of bonding us together. Really amazing experience...
There are “N” number of things & incidents which are associated with Maggi making..cant everything be explained..Only be felt. If you have not undergone through any of the above mentioned experience, you’ve missed some serious fun ..!
Bye for Now.

ReplyDeletePoint Wrongly taken. I wanted to say that, you ppl were consumers the maximum number of times. Not denying on your abilities or contribution, but it is just that we had other characters who were more dominating and influencing..
ReplyDeleteYou were consumers not by Fate, but by your choice!!
