Remembrance
He walked. Through unknown streets. Down the roads. Across lush green meadows. Passing through gardens of blooming flowers of vivid colors. Into the wild. Through deserts. On days with scorching sun. In the moonless dark nights. He was relentless. He walked. Walked till every single bone of his body hurt. Till he could feel every muscle in his body tear apart. He did not wish to stop. He was following his wandering mind. His mind was searching something. He wasn't just blood and flesh, someone who wanted to perfect his existence, or at least wanted to reach to the most humanly possible level of perfection, where he could know the meaning of life, the meaning of death, understand dark passageways between death and the next life. He believed, rather firmly, that he will find the answers if he seeks. He chose this path, an endless route searching for what was worth sought for. He had this hunger, for truth. Surreal but magnificent. He had already surrendered himself to his hunger long ago, and how wonderful was the feeling! Like an ever burning fire inside him, it stayed till date- totally controlling him.
But he finally yielded.
After his endless efforts, marathon journey of countless years stopped. He did not crumble because of his body and flesh gave way. He did not yield because he was terrified by unknown fear of surroundings. But it yielded, because he felt the fire inside was out of fuel. Or may be the unknown universal forces had doused the flames inside him. He was losing direction. Nothing seemed clear, for the first time after countless years. What could possibly be the reason, he wondered. He sat down on the ground, in warm sand, looking at the setting sun. He sat there watching the sun going down, and with every moment passing by, the moon getting brighter ; so as inside of him, to his surprise; as it started feeling calmer n calmer after burning for years. And he suddenly started seeing things the way he could never ever see earlier. He remembered the streets he crossed, and he remembered the people with joy on their faces; and he learned meaning of happiness. He remembered passing through meadows and gardens, and understood serenity. He remembered flowers ready to blossom, which was hope. With setting sun, he felt sad. Small spell of darkness gave him fear, and brighter moon - submission. All the humanly emotions he started feeling now, as he started feeling them now. The answers he sought was right there, surrounding around him, since the beginning. He wasn't finding it at correct place, and chased wrong paths to find right destinations. He didn't know the reason what changed his vision, nor he knew what triggered his new path breaking vision. He pondered for countless moments now, and concluded. His whole journey to find meaning of life and death has come to an end. The answer was simple, and easy to understand. Now he was calm and steady. He could feel the powerful universal forces encompassing him, and in his veins too. Now he was calm and steady. Because he could feel the bond between his existence and the rest of the universe revolving around him. Now he was calm.
The answer; the unseen yet powerful ever-existing bond he found, was - Love. Eternal.
And then, he never walked.
