When it touches
One moment to laugh, one moment to cry
One moment to give up on you and one moment to try
Moments leave me, want to live them instead
With you I stand the world, alone I fear to tread
A rain of your love I wish, for this dry spell to pass
Like a million morning dew sparkle on wilted grass
It all ends with your thought, wherever I start
And blood rushes beneath my skin, to my heart
Nothing could save me, nothing would go right
But with you, I feel true; in the darkness I see light
I took a call and you began to stall*, cuts me like a knife
But you’re worth a wait, and I don’t mean just this life
Your love; when it touches, my heart begins to beat
When I make you feel flawless, you make me feel complete
I know we’re not exception, nothing lasts forever
We can’t win this mortality; at least we can try it together

(*Stall - avoid making a definite decision in order to give one's self more time)
